Base is a fitness studio born in Austin, TX, specializing in endurance, strength, and mobility through a mix of yoga, strength training, Pilates, and more. WG provided MEP design services for this first-generation buildout, located on the ground floor of the mixed-use Weaver Apartments development. In addition to meeting standard code requirements for indoor and outdoor air, fitness studios demand enhanced air purification solutions. This was addressed through the incorporation of a Dielectric Barrier Bipolar Ionization unit. The building program includes the fitness studio, a small retail area, and required support spaces.
